Hello,

Thank you for your query. I understand your concerns.

I don't think your pain is due to constipation. Constiltion generally causes lower abdominal pain.

The pain you are mentioning is below the rib cage and radiating to back. I am not sure from the question whether it is on the left side or right side.

Left sided upper abdominal pain radiating to back could be due to pancreatitis. Right upper abdominal pain could be due to liver problems or even gastric problem. Upper abdominal pain in the centre below the rest bone could be gastric related.

If you have flank pain, then it could be due to kidney stones.

So, in summary, I don't think your pain is constipation related. I would advise you to go to your doctor and get a thorough assessment, he would do basic blood tests that would include a complete blood picture, liver function tests, serum amylase, urea and creatinine etc. He may also request an ultrasound scan.

I hope this answer has been helpful to you.
