What Causes Pain Under The Ribcage Along With Severe Gastritis?
I have been having pain under my left rib cage for 5 weeks. I have had an ultrasound with positive results. I have also had lots of gas at various times which comes and goes. My doctor seems to think I have inflamed an diverticulai. I have been taking doxycline 100mg for four days. The gas has gotten a lot better. However, the pain comes and goes and sometimes it is also on my right side right under my ribs.

Your symptoms could be because of acute gastritis or non specific colitis .I advice you to take proton pump inhibitors and antispasmodic for the pain.if the symptoms doesn't subside then consult your doctor.
