Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain Under The Ribs On The Right Side?
pain in the upper right side of under the ribs where the liver is located.. ultra sound showed no liver damage, but have slightly elevated emzines... pain has been going on for a couple months now. was told it is fatty liver.. I dont drink, cholesterol level is good, and I am not overweight. could there be anything else it could be.
Good day and thank you for posting this question. Yes, it could be a Musculoskeletal pain because of the muscle and the ribs there. The ultrasound scan you did will show if you have a fatty liver and if it doesn't show it means you don't have a fatty liver. If I were your doctor I will give you a pain killer like Acetaminophen to use and watch whether the pain will subsides. I hope it helps. Thank you.
