Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sudden extreme pain comes on in my abdomin on right side under rib cage. Go straight thru to my back with a stabbing pain, moves to stabbing pain in ,y jaw and ears. I try to straighten out to ease the pain burping trying to release the pressure in my chest. The pain lasts about 3 minutes and then eases up. But the burping is often daily even if I haven t eaten.
I am worried as you have to get urgent EKG to see for any heart-related issue. Well, if this is normal then the other investigations are also necessary to know the cause and to see for an appropriate management. The possibilities other than the cardiac problem can be related to gall bladder, liver, stomach, esophagitis and so on. Hence you need the following: Upper GI Endoscopy. Ultrasonography of abdomen. Relevant tests o blood. Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and gives a plan of proper management. Go, rush to ER or nearby hospital and get admitted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
