What Causes Pain While Deep Breathing After Vomiting Episode?
I have been sick at home for the last 2 days, day 1 I was throwing up, day 2 was out of pain/exhaustion from day 1... When I take deep breaths my xiphoid process hurts It's not a serious pain but anytime I take a Deep breath it feels almost tight like someone could be pushing on it
Hello, Welcome to HCM. The pain you have mentioned may be due to contraction of muscle in and around stomach due to recent episodes of vomiting. It may also be due to hyperacidity. You have mentioned that the pain is associated with deep breathing and it is not serious. In such a case, you need not worry as the pain will go away in a short time. You should take tablet Ranitidine twice a day or Omeprazole once a day for a day or two. I hope this will be helpful. Take care.
