My 4 yr old daughter suddenly tells me when she tilt her head back it hurts very much until she cldnt stop crying. Moving her head forward or left n right does not cause any pain only when she tilt it backwards. Wad could be the cause and wad shld I do?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. She might have got a mild sprain in the neck while in sleep or play.
Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly, that too only if temperature is more than 100F or for pain. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol. If it doesn't subside I suggest you consult your paediatrician.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
