What Causes Painful Achilles Heel On Both Feet For A 70-year-old?

I am 70 yrs old. My Achilles heel on both feet are extremely painful, only the back of the heels not on my feet. The X-ray showed the tendon was swollen and a lack of blood flow, in other words I was told the tendons we re dying. I am in physical therapy now, what are the options after therapy. I don t see how this can cure my problem

Hello
There's no way to assess blood flow to that area based on x-rays alone.
I'd get MRI's of your feet to look at the tendons, but this is most likely a tendonitis problem and not a death of the tendon problem.
Usually cortisone injections along with physical therapy and rest are used to treat your condition.
