What Causes Painful Abdominal Bloating After Instertion Of Stents In The Heart?
My brother a 62 yo just had 3 stents put into his right coronary artery on 9/25. Today he is experiencing gas pains throughout his abdomen. His new medication ]s are effient. metoprpanol and lisinopril. He has had diarrhea since the surgery with his last episode this morning. What could be the cause and what can we do?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the abdomen symptoms then it may not be due to the stent (Angioplasty) but it could be due to dyspepsia, hyperacidity, viral infection or protozoa, I would suggest just to wait for some time it will be okay soon on its own, if not then it can be managed with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg Domperidone 20 mg once in day, Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, hope this information helps.
