What Causes Painful Abscess Along With Diarrhea And Constipation?
Hi, I recently had an abscess surgery done. The abscess was located in my groin and has been properly healing. The lymph nodes have reduced in size and that I m on clindamycin. During my stay at the hospital I got a hemorrhoid that wouldn t go away and now I m convinced it was an abscess... The symptoms are the same and it s growing more and more everyday. I don t have a fever(I had a low grade one before). I do have constipation and diarrhea. I can barley walk and it the pain is excruciating. Should I go to the ER?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having developed anal abscess giving rise severe pain.
Once pus is formed, it should be excised and drainage of pus is a must.
Antibiotic might not working if pus is formed.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
He will go for plan of treatment like conservative or surgical.
Ok and take care.
