What Causes Painful Abscess Oozing Pus On Lower Back?

Good evening. I have a swollen area on my lower back. I can get pus out by squeezing, but it difficult to see or reach. It is painful, not red. I plan to call my doctor to make appointment, but with holiday is there anything I can do to remove this myself? I feels and seems like an infected blackhead. Thank you.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due pilonidal cyst infection. If you send a picture of it then it will be more helpful in identifying. You can do hot fomentation and apply betadine. But if puss is there then drainage will be required. Antibiotics will be needed also. For this you have to consult your GP.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
