What Causes Painful And Purple Colored Knot On Earlobe?
My son has a purple knot on his earlobe. It has been there for a couple of months. It doesn t hurt to touch but is painful if pressure is applied. Should we just continue watching it since it isn t getting worse, treat it with something, or visit the doctor?

As per your description it seems like a vascular malformation. In most cases it will settle as the child grows. If the lesion increase in size or if there is any signs of infection, treatment may be required.
