What Causes Painful Ankles And Thighs When Diagnosed With Polyneuropathy?

My ankles, feet and sometimes thighs ache severely most of the time. They also retain a deep numbimg sensation. I do not have diabetes. Sometimes my hands become numb usually while sleeping. I do have polyneuropathy. Anything I can do to relieve the aching pain especially when I walk?

Thank you for your question. Polyneuropathy can cause from many disease. Treatment the underlying cause is the thing you should followup with your doctor. For Polyneuropathy pain you can try gabapentin. Gabapentin may reduce pain associated with polyneuropathy and is generally well tolerated.
