What Causes Painful Area On Foot?
a small region on my left foot hurts. It s painful when I press it. My house is not carpeted. I initially suspected that it could ve been a splinter. But, after many times trying to removing the outer layer to look for signs of a splinter I ve not succeeded. Today, I noticed that there was a hole in that area and hence I used a nail clipper to remove to the outer layer of skin. No mater how deep I go, I am not able to see the splinter. The area of the pain is less than inch in diameter

I would like to know if there is swelling over the involved area of pain? Since how many days since you have the problem? You need not to worry. It could be callosity, it occurs commonly over the foot. Try wearing loose shoes. Apply warm compress to alleviate the pain.
