General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history f taking 3 courses of different antibiotics due to bad cold and chest infection, developed pain on left side of back that goes to under breast area on left side as fluttering.
All this history indicates that you have one of the following:
Fractured rib due to stress of coughing.
Muscular strain.
Nerve entrapment at thoracic spine level.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Doctor for ausculation, local examination to see for any abscess or rash, local tenderness with mild selling.
CT scan of chest will help to know the cause.
MRI of thoracic spine if nerve entrapment is suspected.
The treatment will obviously as per the cause found.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
