What Causes Painful Blisters On Pelvic Area After Having Intercourse?
Hello, I ve had what I thought was a herpes breakout a while back and my test came back negative! Now I have one little blister like sore and I m terrified but I do not have the horrible painful symptoms as last time. Before the first outbreak my partner and I used this lubericant and I m thinking it might be an allergic reaction to that because we haven t used it since the first breakout and just used it about two days again and pop there it is again? Im just confused on what could be happening
Depends on the type of test. The new PCR on a fresh blister is a rather great test. Growing the virus, while extremely accurate (if it says you have it you 100% percent do) is under 50/50 likely to work. Older antigen and blood tests are not a lot better. Making the huge leap that it is NOT herpes: plain wear and tear of the skin can look like a blister. Allergic reaction can certainly blister. Pimples might be confused with a blister but I doubt it.
Bottom line, find out how good a test it was. Then if not herpes, allergy is possible.
