What Causes Painful Blood Filled Nodules In Armpit?
Hi, thanks for your attention. I have mild hydradenitis Superitiva. I occasionally get painful blood or pus filled inflammed nodules in my armpit, groin, and some skin creases. I have also discovered another issue that is very odd.. Whenever i eat chocolate- not cocoa powder- but the whole bean product in any form, i develope painful deep inflammed nodules but only in two places... My face and buttocks. Usually within 48 hrs of consuming the chocolate. This has happened all my life. It doesnt seem related to the Hydradenitis because nothing occurs in the groin or armpits. I usually restrict any chocolate consumption to cocoa only. What exactly am i reacting to? Its a mysyery to me. Any Ideas?
The pus filled nodules need to be drained followed by antibiotic to control the infection. Development of nodules after consuming cocoa can be due to development of allergy to cocoa. I suggest you to consult your physician for management of food related allergy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
