What Causes Painful Bump On The Inside Of Labia Majora?
Hi I have a good sized bump on the inside of my labia majors, at first it was small and didn t hurt now it s grew a bit and is becoming painful. Is it a bartholin cyst or could it be a boil? I have read many different things about it and have no idea. If it is a bartholin cyst like I think so how can I treat it at home?
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
A photograph of the bump is needed for a more specific answer.
From what you are describing, the bump inside your labia majora could be bartholini cyst unless pus is coming out. If there is pus, we can suspect of abscess (infected hair root) or even herpetic cyst.
I advise to: - keep a good genital hygiene - wash with warm water and soap - apply betadine locally
If it will continue growing, then, surgical removal is advised.
All the best! Dr.Albana
