What Causes Painful Bumps In Pubic Area?

Hey. So. I think I may have herpes. However, I cut myself shaving and had sex the same night. So, things got wet down there. And now I have bumps all over and they re painful and there is a slight odor. However, puss is coming out. So I m not sure if its an infection or herpes. But, I found I have had sexual contact about a month to two prior with clamidia.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. If you send a picture of the bumps then it will be more helpful in identifying. Herpes usually appear as blistering type of rashes. It will be fluid filled also. It is associated with itching, burning sensation and pain. If such symptoms are not present then it can be fungal infection and in such case antifungal ointments like miconazole will be helpful. Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area and instead you can use saline or warm water for that.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
