What Causes Painful Cough And Sneeze While Taking Nasal Drip?

I have had this terrible cough and sneezing fits that has been going on for months now. My doctor said it was due to a nasal drip. I started taking NAC for sinuses and by the next week I experienced painful coughing and sneezing spells. What can I do?

Hello,
Plain acetyl cystine or NAC is no treatment to the sinus infection.
You need to take --
a short course of antibiotics
anti histamincs
decongestant tablets and nasal sprays
steroid nasal sprays
and if the allergic condition is suspected and is more then you might require oral steroid medications also.
It will be better if you take ent specialist advice so that dosage of drugs can be adjusted according to the body weight.
In doubt do reply.
