What Causes Painful Cramps And Stomach Stiffness While Bending Or Applying Pressure?

I am a 24yr old female & every once in a while if I sit up from a lying position or bend over from a sitting position, pretty much anything that put strain on my stomach. I get these painful cramps, my stomach stiffens & it feels like my insides are moving! I have to lay back down or just stay still into it slowly subsides. But tonight when I got it my husband was around to witness it, put his hand on my stomach & he could feel it move! Idk what is going on! I have told a Dr but he looked at me like I was crazy. My husband thought I was exaggerating until now. I have also recently found small pea size lumps on my right upper abdominal which the Dr said could be gallstones. But this is the same area these cramps start & slowly feel like it rolls down to my belly button area & stops. I am not pregnant but do have 3 children & all 3 were c-sections.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have history of three C-section. Now you are experiencing painful cramps in the abdomen and belly button, it can be due to appendicitis, umbilical hernia, hernia, gall stones, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood tests, urinalysis, imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly. For relief from abdominal cramps, you can take Spasmol (spasmoproxyvon), one SOS when required. You can take antacid, one SOS when needed. If obese you are suggested to lose weight and maintain healthy weight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
