What Causes Painful Elbows In Patients With Sjogren's Syndrome?

I get severe pain in both elbows in the middle of the night. I have to take hydrocodon 10 mg and volataren gel to ease the the pain. I have arthritis but my elbows do not hurt me during the day. I have Shogrens syndrome .Why do I have this horrible pain at night?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Probably effect of hyrocodone lasts into daytime because of long half life, so pain free, by night the effect wears off and so it comes back
Consult orthopaedic doctor .an MRI of elbows should be done.
It may not be part of sjogrens syndrome unless it's rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed in elbows after blood tests like anti CCP,rheumatoid factor, esr etc,ANA test also...
So consult orthopedic/or rheumatologist
