What Causes Painful Head Lumps With Scabbing And Tingling?
I have some slightly painfull small scabby lumps on the side of my head towards the back since I sustained a head injury 4 weeks ago. If I pressed around the area of the injury I get a tingling sensation around other areas of the head. Should the scabbing have cleared up by now?
Well its been a while since you've sustained the injury (4 weeks) . Since you havn't mentioned any other problems apart from the scabbing & pain and tingling sensation over your head , I guess there's no other problems that you've encountered in this timespan.
Scabbing generally takes time to get cleared up depending on size of area involved , the depth of the injury, overall healing property of the body of the individual etc. Sometimes it takes even months to get cleared so don't worry. But do check on it every now & then for any new discharge/secretions etc. Also try to keep the area dry and open(no need to do any dressing/covering). Also avoid rubbing the area. You may also try to apply some ice-pack / a bag of frozen peas over the area for a few days.
Sometimes due to the impact of the force there's nerve damage also , causing tingling sensations over a long period of time.
Hope this'll clear your doubt regarding, and get back to me next time in your follow-up , thanks for contacting HCM
