A disabled (CP) female family member has always had painful, heavy periods with the passage of large clots. She has never been sexually active or had a pelvic exam. She recently had a shot of depo provera which stopped her period. However, she recently passed a large mass of tissue ( 5 inches long by 1 inch diameter) with mucusy material and is having lower right side pain and back pain. What could this be?
