Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Painful Indentations Above The Buttocks Along With Appetite Loss?
Good evening, I am a twenty year old female presenting with two half inch indentations on the top of a five inch indentation on my right side just above my buttock. The first of the half inch indentations occurred six months ago, the second half inch and the deeper five inch indentation formed two weeks ago. Pain is extremely mild. Apart from those symptoms extreme hair loss occurred six months ago, followed by exhaustion and then appetite loss both occured three weeks ago. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
The painful indentation above the buttocks with appetite loss, exhaustion as associated features may be from various issues as auto immune disorders, inflammation or else. I would like to review the type of indentation with a photo picture of the same during next follow up discussion if you wish and have no objection to upload the same as this is very vital to co relate clinical perspective.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
