What Causes Painful Inflammation On The Ankles?
My father is suffering from inflammation and pain in his right ankle. The pain is so much in night that he cannot sleep. Doctor has advised him Gabapentin. It works effective but as he discontinued the medicine pain again comes back and he cannot sleep at all in night. Again doctor advised meecobalamin and pregabalin 75 mg BD for one month. The medicine provedbeneficial. But again he discontinued the medicine pain comes back and he cannot sleep. He has also problem of prostate and high blood pressure.

Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, and other types of arthritis can also cause ankle pain. Achilles tendonitis might be the another potential cause.I personally advised you for serum uric acid test and RA factor after the reports u can consult with your consultant reumatologist for further management.regards Dr wasif
