What Causes Painful Intercourse And Missed Period?
I have a sexual problem... I t hurts when I have sex. A lot. I have been sexually active for three years now. My sexual partner was tested for std s and got a clean result. I have also taken a pregnancy test because my cycle is late for a month and a half. Why does it hurt?
Hello, thanks for letting us know your health concern. There are several possibilities for pain during a sexual intercourse. 1. Difference in the size of the parts leading to excessive stretching and pain. 2. Rough intercourse. 3. Deficient lubrication. this can be primary or secondary to infection. 4. Anatomic defects in the vagina like polyps, cysts, septae etc. I would ask you to go for a complete evaluation including pregnancy test, sonogram of the pelvis, swabs from the cervix and vagina, blood counts and urinalysis. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
