Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Painful Intercourse With Brown And White Discharge?
I am experiencing pain during penetration and sometimes during sex. I have had the same partner for five months now and it never has caused pain until recently. Maybe a month ago. Also. There is dry faint brown blood looking discharge on the condom after every time recently as well as sometimes accompanied by white pasty discharge. Any suggestions? It s getting worse with every time.
Pain with penetration and thick white discharge can be due to a yeast infection. You can use Monistat cream outside for a week and ovules in the vagina for 3 days.
If you are not better in 4-5 days or you are any worse, you will need a gynecological exam and possibly a pap smear (if you are 21 years old or more and you have not had one in the last 3 years) and checks for STDs. The doctor may also order a transvaginal ultrasound examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
