What Causes Painful Intercourse?

HI, I have pain everytime I have ever had sex, it also hurts when I get a smear test, the nurses never seemed worried, they say I have very mild vaginism, but there was still heaps of room for them to get in easily, it is really sore very close to when they penetrate and it feels like a burning ripping feeling but I m not actually ripping, its putting me off ever having a serious boyfriend because it is super embarrassing having to ask them to stop because the pain is so bad
