General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, the libido may decrease in peri-menopausal stage and can cause dryness during intercourse and may result in bleeding and pain. Using lubricants like KY Jelly may help. Other cases like pelvic inflammatory disease or disease like Chlamydia should be ruled out on high vaginal swab cultures. Hormone replacement therapy may be needed at later stages if problem persists.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
