What Causes Painful Itching In Vulva?
I believe I have itching in my vulva area and when I scratch it can be very painful at times and sometimes the scratching can make me bleed. I have read up on certain things it might be. Can you please tell me what you think it could be as I know I need to see my gyno. I am 46 years old. This is going on for months.

The symptoms are more consistent with infective causes like yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Consult a gynecologist and plan for a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis. As of now you can use clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.
