What Causes Painful Lump In The Testicles Of An Alcoholic Addict?

my son is 47 has never smoked but dose drink alcohol he had a ultra sscan on his testical s and they found some shadow s he has got to have a biopcy he keep s good health and hasn t had any weight loss or pain just a lump like a piece of grissle and they felt a bit sore.He did have a vasectomy a few year s ago. should we be concerned.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Painful lump in testis indicates infection called 'orchitis'. It needs to be cured by administration of antibiotics and analgesics.
Alcohol may not be directly linked to the disorder but should abstain from it during the course of treatment.
However, if it doesn't subside, then a Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) has to be done to confirm the diagnosis.
