Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently noticed a small (size of a fingernail) lump on the left side of my spine in my thoracic area. A few years ago, my T10 fractured when I simply bent down and MRI showed a lesion in T 10. After 3 biopsies, the cells were undiagnosed and the surgeon who was supposed to perform an en bloc resection took my case to a spine tumor board. Final decision was that it was a schmorl s node but not all docs were in agreement. A deep pain--pretty steady, not throbbing--has been present ever since. When I touch this new lump, it makes the pain increase. Am I being paranoid or should I go back to the spine specialist?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you has lump in the throat and headache . Well it seems to me that these are to different problems , which are not necessarily related . Lump in neck could be due to various reasons like sore throat , tonsillitis , laryngitis , pharyngitis , brachial plexus and salivary glands swelling . Headache you mention in query cane also occur due to various reasons like cluster headache , migraine and trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia . But the probable reason for headache is migraine . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist and neurologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order throat swab test , virus culture test and CT scan of head . Doctor may also take sample fo lab test to rule out malignancy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for at least 5 days and medicine like vasograin for migraine .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
