What Causes Painful Lump Under The Ear Along With Twitching In Eye?

I went to the hospital today about a painful lump right under my left ear (that I got after camping this past weekend), I was told it was either a swollen/infected lymph node or skin abscess, I had forgotten to mention that ever since the lump had occurred it had been getting larger.... But also my left eye has been twitching, not constantly but an annoying amount. My eye rarely twitches and has been doing so for a week. I would like some inquiry on if the two could be linked?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the lymph node swelling could be nonspecific and it may not be due to infection neither it is related with other history, if the swelling goes on increasing then it may need some investigation and clinical examination too, hope this information may helps, take care and have a nice day.
