Hi,

A painful lump under the eyebrow could be due to several different causes. Some possible causes include:
* Stye: A stye is a small red bump that develops at the base of an eyelash or inside the eyelid. It can be painful and tender to the touch.
* Chalazion: A chalazion is a small, painless bump that forms when the oil glands in the eyelid become blocked. It can become tender and inflamed if it grows large enough.
* Cyst: A cyst is a closed sac that contains fluid or semisolid material. It can develop anywhere on the body, including under the eyebrow.
* Abscess: An abscess is a collection of pus that forms in response to an infection. It can be painful, swollen, and red.
* Injury: A lump under the eyebrow could be the result of an injury, such as a blow to the head or an accidental cut.

To determine the cause of the lump, it's important to see a healthcare professional for an evaluation. They may recommend an imaging test or biopsy to help diagnose the underlying cause. Treatment will depend on the cause of the lump, but may include medication, warm compresses, drainage, or surgery. It's important to avoid trying to drain the lump yourself, as this can lead to further infection or complications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

A painful lump under the eyebrow can be due to various causes such as an infected hair follicle, a sty, a chalazion, or even a cyst. It is important to have it examined by a medical professional, such as a dermatologist or an ophthalmologist, to determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment.

In the meantime, you can try applying a warm compress to the area several times a day for about 10-15 minutes at a time. This can help to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid squeezing or trying to pop the lump as it may worsen the condition and cause infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
