Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 12 year old son, has a lump about the size of a dime under his nipple? No history of trauma, painful only to the touch, just told me out but states has been there for about a week. Just got done taking anitbiotics for a sinus infection. No other symptoms, eats well, happy in general feel good! Dr s Visit required? or do I just monitor it?
Well, it sounds to me like possible aeroma or an asbcess. If this is not painful then here is no need to see doctor and this will disappear in time. If this is red and painful, I suggest to see surgeon since small procedure may be required.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
