What Causes Painful Lumps In Armpit Post Shoulder Surgery?

I recently had shoulder surgery to repair a 360 tear in my labrum. I have been in a sling for about a week and a half now and discovered I have lumps in my armpit and discomfort/pain to the touch. Is this a normal issue that people have? What would this be caused by?

HI
Well come to HCM
The lump that you have noticed may not be normal one this could be due to long standing compression might be due to sling, lymph node swelling to be ruled out, some other chances of infection may be there and this is also need to be differentiated, in my opinion clinical examination is very must, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
