Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a pretty big mass on the back of my neck in the middle the mass itself isn t painful unless touched but it s causing extreme pain to my neck itself and making my head feel like it s being pushed forward (forehead down) i have a ct scheduled for Tuesday but would like to know what it could be... It s also getting bigger and is not fluid filled according to ultrasound
Let me tell you that symptoms described by you suggests It’s may be due to sebaceous cyst, furuncles, swollen posterior cervical lymph node or lymphoma. You can better send me a photo of the swelling mass on reports in order to better evaluate it. You need some investigation like CT Scan and USG of swelling area for confirmation of diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Arup Majumdar (General physician and House physician)
