What Causes Painful Popping Sensation Behind The Leg After A Surgery?

Hi doctor It s been 6 weeks since I had my surgery to my acl and meniscus in which I had a hamstring graft... to day I went up the stairs a little faster than usual and a massive pop went behind my leg which was very painful! It happened where my leg bends which I think might be the Semitedinosus. I can walk on my leg but I m in pain when bending down! What could this be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be bursitis or ligament injury.

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
