What Causes Painful Pulsations In The Neck?

I have had intermittent pulsating pains in my neck that last any where from 30 seconds to several minutes and usually occur several times a day. Although sometimes I will go a day or two without any occurrences. It has been going on for around 6 months. The pain is mild to moderate, occurs on both sides of my neck and it feels like it is my veins. It doesn t seem to be associated with any kind of movement, and I have not experienced recent neck trauma. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi,

The most common cause of tricuspid regurgitation is the enlargement of the right ventricle which pumps blood to the lungs. The condition can also develop if the valve is damaged by a bacterial infection. Symptoms include pulsing neck veins, fatigue, swelling of the abdomen and weakness.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
