What Causes Painful Rashes On Neck?
I am getting a painful rash on my neck when I wear my necklace for a long period of time. I bought the chain at hobby lobby so it's not high quality and the rash stays for nearly 5 days before it clears. I have never had any problems with my rings or other jewelry.

It seems a case of contact dermatitis due to allergy of your body to the polish or coating of electroplating on the chain. Hence, it will be better, if you change your necklace with some better quality and to see, if the rash appears with it also or not.
