I often get hard bumps on my bum cheeks that are extremely painful to the touch, they vary in colour from red to brown, some are not very big and some can be a little larger. Varying from the size of a 5 pence piece to quite a bit smaller. what could this be?
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to: 1. Folliculitis 2. Urticaria 3. Ringworm (tinea) infection 4. Contact dermatitis
Symptomatic relief can be obtained with: 1. Application of Calamine lotion for symptomatic relief. 2. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra 3. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment. 4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
If symptoms still persist, kindly visit a Dermatologist & get a proper clinical examination done to find the exact cause.
