Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Angular Chelitis leading to cracking and sores at the corners of mouth..
It can occur due to causes like
Nutritional deficiency,
fungal infection, bacterial infection and viral infection caused by
Herpes simplex virus causing cold sores..
I would suggest you to
consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests, swab culture or culture and microscopic examination of scraping from the sores can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if it is due to fungal infection anti-fungal ointments can help..
In case if it is due to bacterial infection antibiotic ointment can be advised..
In case of herpes antiviral ointments and oral
antiviral medication has to be taken..
Take multivitamins daily..
You can apply thick coat of petroleum jelly over the area and it will help in keeping the area soft..
You can do cool compresses..
Do not let moisture to accumulate in the area and wipe it gently..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
