Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Painful Sores In The Mouth Accompanied By Coughing And Sneezing?
my wife developed several sores in her mouth, which appear to be canker sores. She's in a good amount of pain, and claims they burn. She's also congested - coughing and sneezing. She hasn't had a temperature, and her body doesn't ache. The sores appeared first, followed by the congestion, coughing and sneezing
As per your query you have symptoms of painful sores in the mouth accompanied by coughing and sneezing which is mainly due to poor oral hygiene, poor immunity, and sinus infection. I would suggest you to:- - Do warm saline rinses several times a day. - Take steam twice a day. - Apply Orabase gel on sores. - Drink warm water with one spoon honey in it.
Consult ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) without any delay. The doctor may order blood test, X-ray, throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis and to rule out a condition like an allergic reaction. The doctor may prescribe antibiotic course (amoxicillin) along with antihistamine medication for a cough and sneezing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
