Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a very painful spot on my knee that hurts when I kneel or if I press on that spot. It feels as though it should be seriously bruised, but there is no bruise. I haven t bumped it or otherwise aggravated it in any way. This has been going on for a month.
Hello there, You seem to be having something called as bursitis. This is when fluid filled structures that help in your joints moving freely get inflamed and interfere with your movement. You need to rest your knee joint and apply alternate hot and cold compresses. Also You can have tab ultracet 1/2 a tablet alongwith tab rantac 150 mg twice a day for 3 days to reduce the pain. If it does not resolve in a week you should consult an orthopaedician. Hope this helps, Please feel free to address any further queries to me
