Yes..
arthritis from any cause can be instigated with changed weather. This time the attack seems to be more aggressive.. may be thee is added inflammation to joint pain.
Ideally one should take rest & medication to manage the problem... but if it's a must you can try following-
- hot or ice pack to the part will reduce
joint stiffness & muscle spasms & blood supply to the joint.& make the movements less painful.
- Over the counter
NSAID drug like
Ibuprofen 400 mg can be taken twice a day after food. It will manage the stiffness/ inflammation.
- Consult your treating doctor before leaving.. for his opinion regarding the travel & he may add
steroids short course ,, as per need.
* After coming back.. please get investigated for typing of arthritis ( Rheumatic, Rheumatoid,
Gout or osteo arthritis & start with more specific treatment &
physiotherapy for better management & comfortable life,
