Based on the description it appears that you could have contacted
sexually transmitted disease caused by bacteria 'Chlamydia trachomatis'.
You need to undergo urine examination, which will be tested for the presence of the chlamydia organism.
You may also need a urethral discharge culture, or swab test, to rule out
gonorrhea.
If you’re diagnosed with chlamydial infection, you and your sexual partners must be treated with appropriate course of antibiotics.
Antibiotics which can eliminate chlamydial infection include:
1. doxycycline
2. azithromycin
3. erythromycin
4. levofloxacin
5. ofloxacin
The antibiotic course would be for 10 days. Most infections will resolve within a week or two.
It is important for you to abstain from sexual activity for at least seven days after completing a course of antibiotics to prevent reinfection.
