What Causes Painful Tender Spot Below Knee?
I am experiencing pain in my left knee, with a tender spot just below the knee on the inside of my leg. There spot coincides with what appear to be broken blood vessels near the surface of my skin. It hurts most when I either straighten my leg all the way or bend it fully backwards. Thus is not related to any exercise or sports injury - I m 59 and it started hurting last night after I was laying on our couch.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is not the injury then nothing to worry and if this is the injury then first it need to be investigated and then need to be managed accordingly else for the pain any NSAID can be taken, bed rest it equally necessary hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
