Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I experience pain fairly sharp pain in my upper left thigh if I attempt to cross my left leg over onto my right knee. It also hurts if I attempt to rotate my upper left leg outward. It does not hurt when i bend the knee or when i run. The inner area of the lent thigh is not tender to the touch
hi If rotation is painful one may need to consult an orthopedic doctor for evaluation of hip joint itself by physical examination and x ray to start with.when one rotates leg or crosses over to opposite knee, the rotation occurs at ball and socket hip joint, the surrounding muscles assist in movement, but if no local tenderness in upper inner thigh, it may be pain from hip joint and needs assessment
