What Causes Painful Tonsil Inspite Of Getting Wisdom Teeth?

hello Sir, my left wisdom teeth are coming, and for some strange reason my left tonsils are hurting like hell too.. cant chew, cant swallow and the worst part is i am almost 6 months pregnant so i cant take any strong medications either.. what to do? please help me.. i am dying of the excruciating pain..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain it seems that the inflammation of your tonsil is related to the wisdom tooth as when the wisdom tooth is partially erupted the gum flap over it may get inflamed due to infection.
Infection is caused by food deposition between the gum flap and the tooth..
The inflammation at times becomes severe and it can also cause inflammation of the tonsil of the same side causing pain and swelling..

You should consult a dentist and get evaluated and if it is due to inflamed gum flap you need a course of antibiotics and painkillers which are suitable during pregnancy..

The dentist may prescribe you Amoxicillin for reducing infection and Acetaminophen for relieving pain..
Do warm saline gargles.
Take a soft diet..
