What Causes Painful Urination After Having Sex?

Hi Doctor,Am 26 and my fiancé is 28 and we have oral sex whenever me meet, a quick question. Is it normal to feel pain when you pass urine after sex? What does it mean? And also, I want to tighten my vagina and my sister suggested that I drink stoney and Black halls before an hour of intimacy, does it work?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I understand your concern. Painful urination after the urination is not normal. It could be due to vaginal infection and urinary tract infection. If it continue then examination by gynecologist, urine tests and vaginal swab test will help you.

Vaginal infection require: Clingen suppository and Lactobacillus suppository Urinary tract infection require antibiotic, Pyridium and syrup Cital. Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene before and after sex, you can also use V vaginal plus wash for better hygiene.

Stoney and Black halls will not help to tighten the vagina. To tighten the vagina:Pelvic exercise like kegel's exercise is also helpful, but you have to done regularly and for long time up to 5-6 months. You can see the information of exercise on the web.If you are bothersome the vaginoplasty is the option: in this procedure muscle and tissue around the vagina done shorten. Avoid stress while having sex, use K-Y gel before sex, do regular exercise, take healthy diet.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
